About

Design that
speaks before
words do.

I'm Mustafa Çağan HATAPÇI — a digital designer and web developer based in Turkey. My work sits at the intersection of visual craft and functional thinking.

From full-scale website design and development to app promotional visuals and theatrical poster design, I approach every brief the same way: strip it down to what matters, then build it back up with intention. The result is work that's minimal in noise, maximum in impact.

I've designed and built websites for brands like Kans Coffee and Antalya KU, created marketing visuals for mobile apps like Yeniyo and Speakart, and crafted event posters for Erciyes University's theatre community DİFTT.

KANS COFFEE

Crafted
for every
moment.

Project Overview

Kans Coffee needed a digital presence that matched the warmth and craft of their brand. The goal was a website that felt premium, inviting, and unmistakably them — without sacrificing usability or speed.

Design Goals

  • Build a brand-aligned web experience that communicates quality
  • Create intuitive navigation for menu, story, and contact
  • Balance visual richness with clean, fast performance

Design Approach

The visual language draws from the warmth of specialty coffee culture — deep tones, generous whitespace, and confident typography. Every layout decision was made to guide the visitor toward the brand's story and menu.

Visual Language

Rich earthy palette. DM Serif paired with clean sans-serif body text. Full-bleed imagery with precise crop framing.

User Experience

Single-scroll architecture with clear section anchors. Mobile-first design. Optimized load performance to keep bounce rates low.

Final Result

A premium digital identity that elevates the Kans Coffee brand and delivers a seamless experience across all devices.

ANTALYA AKÜ

Reliable.
Fast.
Everywhere.

Project Overview

Antalya Akü, an automotive battery specialist, needed a website that combined product clarity with customer trust. The brief was straightforward: make it easy to find the right battery, understand what you're buying, and get in contact — fast.

Design Goals

  • Present products and services clearly to both retail and commercial customers
  • Build a trustworthy, professional digital face for a local specialist brand
  • Prioritize speed and usability — a customer in need of a battery has no patience

Design Approach

Content hierarchy was the foundation. Product categories structured for quick scanning, contact channels made immediately visible. The visual tone — confident and utilitarian — reflects the reliability the brand stands for.

Visual Language

Strong, grounded palette. Clean typographic system. No decorative noise — every element earns its place on the page.

User Experience

Logical page flow built around user intent. Clear CTAs and contact info surfaced at every scroll depth. Optimized for mobile — most customers arrive from a phone.

Final Result

A clean, fast, professional website that earns trust at first glance and converts visits into customer contact.

YENIYO · VISUAL 01

YENIYO · VISUAL 02

Social media

Project Overview

Yeniyo needed visual assets that would introduce their app to a new audience and drive installs. The brief called for bold, modern visuals that communicated the app's core value instantly.

Design Goals

  • Create scroll-stopping promotional visuals for social platforms
  • Communicate app features without overwhelming the viewer
  • Design a consistent visual kit usable across multiple channels

Design Approach

Each visual was built around a single message. Strong typographic hierarchy, minimal UI mockups, and high-contrast compositions ensured maximum legibility and impact at feed scale.

Visual Language

Bold, modern color system. Confident display typography. UI screens presented in clean mockup frames.

User Experience

Designed with platform behavior in mind — visuals optimized for Instagram feed, Stories, and app store assets.

Final Result

A cohesive visual campaign that positions Yeniyo as a polished, trustworthy app worth downloading.

Speakart App

App Promotional & Social Media Visuals

SPEAKART · VISUAL 01

Hero campaign
visual — dark

SPEAKART · VISUAL 02

Social media
promotional

Project Overview

Speakart is a social platform for creative expression. The visual campaign needed to reflect the app's personality — expressive, modern, and community-driven — while remaining clean enough to communicate clearly.

Design Goals

  • Capture the creative, social energy of the platform visually
  • Produce marketing visuals that feel native to social media feeds
  • Present UI screens in a way that builds immediate trust and desire

Design Approach

Visual identity was built around creative freedom — dynamic compositions, expressive type treatments, and carefully staged UI mockups that invite the viewer in. Each asset was crafted to feel like content, not advertising.

Visual Language

Vibrant accent palette against clean backgrounds. Expressive typography. Mobile UI presented in layered compositions.

User Experience

Every visual was A/B-ready — designed with clear focal points and copy zones that adapt across platform formats.

Final Result

A modern, expressive marketing visual system that authentically represents Speakart's creative community.

DİFTT Theatre Posters

DİFTT · 2 Perde Dram

Soğuk Bir
Berlin Gecesi

Theatre Production · 21–22 Şubat 2020

DİFTT · Auditions

Hep Karşıdan mı
Bakışacağız?

Open Auditions · Oct 2021

Project Overview

Three visual works for DİFTT — the theatre community of Erciyes University's Faculty of Dentistry. As part of the creative team across two productions, the work spanned poster design, typographic direction, and the full visual identity of each show.

Design Goals

  • Translate each production's atmosphere into a single, striking image
  • Build typographic compositions that function as both headline and artwork
  • Design for dual-use: print distribution and digital social promotion

Design Approach

Karanlıktan Gelen Sır — a ghost story — demanded horror-cinema aesthetics: distressed display type, a haunted house background, silhouette composition, and deep shadow. The poster had to feel unsettling at a glance.

Soğuk Bir Berlin Gecesi — a two-act drama — called for cinematic restraint. Portrait photography, layered cityscape, and expressive calligraphic type for the title. Monochromatic palette broken only by a single gold accent.

Hep Karşıdan mı Bakışacağız? — the auditions call — used bold weight sans-serif on a theatrical red curtain backdrop. Direct, confident, memorable.

Visual Language

Three distinct tonal registers — horror, drama, invitation — each with its own palette, type style, and photographic language. Unified by DİFTT's institutional identity.

Visual Composition

Each poster anchored to a single focal point. Type hierarchies built to lead the eye from title → tagline → logistics → call to action in one smooth read.

Final Result

Three posters that gave each production its own visual identity — and collectively elevated DİFTT's presence as a serious creative institution.

Design Philosophy

How I think
about design.

01

Simplicity as a choice.

Clean design isn't the absence of ideas — it's the result of ruthless editing. I remove everything that doesn't serve a purpose, so what remains carries full weight.

02

Hierarchy that guides.

Visual hierarchy is the invisible hand that moves a viewer through a design. I build it deliberately — so the most important thing is always seen first.

03

Design for the user, not the portfolio.

Beautiful work that confuses users has failed. I design with behavior in mind — how someone moves, what they read, where they click.

04

Brand alignment over personal style.

My job is to amplify the brand in front of me, not to impose my aesthetic. Every design decision is filtered through the question: does this serve the brand?

"Good design is felt before it's read."

Why Work With Me

Design that
delivers.

  • Design + Development in one.

No handoff friction. I design and build, so the final product looks exactly like the vision.

  • Brand-first thinking.

Every decision serves your brand's story. Not mine.

  • Clean, purposeful work.

No unnecessary complexity. No decorative noise. Just clear, effective visual communication.

  • Multi-format capability.

From websites to app visuals to print posters — consistent quality across every medium.

  • Detail-obsessed.

The difference between good and great design lives in details most people never notice — but always feel.
